Azaleas

Azaleas are a classic flower seen in landscapes everywhere in North and South Carolina. They are famous for their show of flowers in the spring. Most azaleas do well in full sun but some of your traditional azaleas do better in shady areas. They are best planted in the spring in a cool, slightly shaded area. Azaleas require well-drained, acidic soil. After their full bloom is over in the spring you may trim your azaleas. A healthy pruning can encourage a heavier bloom next season.
